The High Museum of Art previews Virgil Abloh’s ‘Figures of Speech’ exhibit

If you’re a fan of art and fashion you need to check out the High Museum of Art’s  new exhibit, Virgil Abloh “Figures of Speech.â€�

For those who are not familiar, Abloh is a Black designer and cultural influencer.

He is a Chicago native who started his career as an architect and transitioned into curating one of the most notable high-end streetwear brands in the world today, Off-Whiteâ„¢.

Abloh has expanded his work beyond fashion across disciplines, collaborating with graphic and furniture designers, and musicians like Kanye West, along with other contemporary artists.

Abloh has pushed the limits for African Americans in the space of luxury fashion and today he is the creative director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear.

An exhibit of the artist’s work will be open to the public from Nov. 12, 2019 to March 8, 2020. Patrons can see the evolution of his work as a designer and artist over two decades.

Aside from insight into Abloh’s creative process, “Figures of Speech� offers great photo opportunities, inspiration, and shopping.

There is a special capsule store at the end of the exhibit that features Off-Whiteâ„¢ designs and exclusive High Museum of Art collaboration merchandise.

The exhibit is free for members and general admission tickets are $14.50.
