Moore, 47, confirmed on her Instagram Story on Wednesday that she does, in fact, have preeclampsia, a condition characterized by high blood pressure and abnormal water retention. Subsequently, the Detroit-born Moore is set to give birth any day now, according to the New York Post’s Page Six and AllAboutTRH. The early delivery is well ahead of her due date of Thanksgiving Day.
“Tests confirmed I do have preeclampsia today,” Moore shared on her Instagram Story Oct. 31. “I will have to deliver #babydaly early but I’m being closely monitored to determine when. Thank you for all your love and well wishes❤️.”
Moore’s pre-birth complication has led fans to pour out prayers in hopes for the best outcome.
“Praying for u Kenya!!! ❤️” one fan said on Moore’s Instagram page.
“Praying for a safe delivery for you and baby Daly🍼” added another fan.
A third IG follower posed this question: “How many weeks are you now? Lord keep that baby in as long as possible 🙏🏾 ❤ I delivered twins at 26 weeks. Healthy 12-year-old boys now but it was a long time and many years of worry and stress before it was all over. I know you’re well past 26 weeks but the idea of a preemie baby always makes me anxious. Keep baby Daly and Mommy safe and healthy 🙏🏾❤”
A few more concerned Moore disciples sent up requests for divine intervention: “Prayers up for you and #babydaly. God has you both covered,” said one, while another added. “We love you Kenya. You and Daly Baby will be just fine. Prayers are with you.”
“Omgee prayers for you. God even now, touch her and let all levels return to normal and praying her precious gift comes when YOU’VE ordained it to be so. Amen.”
Moore said she discerned oncoming complications, as her swollen feet were a sign of a larger issue after celebrating the launch of pal Cynthia Bailey’s Seagram’s Escapes beverage.
“I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party,” she said on Instagram Oct. 29. “Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia… I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal!”
